Limp and Lymph

My thoughts are bouncing all over the place! I am behind on homework because I can't concentrate and I've been so tired from traveling last week and having minor surgery on Tuesday that I've skipped a couple classes this week to sleep instead. All I want right now is to be finished with this stressful semester with good grades so I can relax with a lot of pillows, a comfy blanket, hazelnut candles, and a pile of good books to read (that don't have anything to do with school or tests)! Before that happens though, I'd really like for Clint to get a great job that's not seasonal so he can quit working nights at FedEx. Seriously, he goes to bed tired, wakes up tired, comes home tired, sleeps, eats, takes care of the house, stresses, hurts, and works! I want to help more but I'm already not getting enough done of what I'm supposed to be focusing on: school, homework, sleep, etc. Sigh...one more month till Thanksgiving...I'm sure things will be better by then...two more months and we can maybe relax for a whole day...or at least half of it :D I think we may celebrate Hanukkah this year...we definitely need something earlier than Christmas!
P.S. I'll hopefully be able to explain the title of this post better after tomorrow...depends on what I find out from a screening.

Oh Love, I Hate to Go

In about 14 hours, I will be on a plane to Denver, Colorado. I am going on a business trip for Mary Kay. I'm excited and I know it will be a lot of fun!
Sadly this means that I am missing out on school, birthday parties of friends, spending time with my great-nephew, reading blogs, and church--but most of all spending time with my husby! This will be the longest we've been apart during our marriage so far. I miss you lots already! I love you!
I only have 6 hours left to finish packing and get some sleep...so long, farewell, Alf Wiedersehen, and Good Night!
Adieu!

Taylie Abbott

I saw this on a friend's blog, and this is definitely worth passing on. While driving home yesterday afternoon, my friend 'Lulu' was thinking about how much love we show to those we serve and how it can mean more to them than we may ever know. If you are needing some inspiration, A Dash of Season and Taylie Abbott will give you some.

I'm in a class this semester, "Personal Health and Wellness," for which I am required to work out at least 4 times a week, 30 minutes each time, 2 of the 4 have to be aerobic workouts (get my heart-rate up in a target zone for at least 30 minutes). At the beginning we had to run a mile and a half and also have a skin-fold caliper test. At the end we'll do it again to see how we've improved.

Now I'm not going to tell you my exact time, not just because it's embarrassing, but also because I don't want anyone comparing themselves to me. When it comes to your personal health and wellness, you are only in competition with yourself. You may not be where you should be in the opinion of the doctor, but you can do better if you're not doing your best right now. And DON'T GIVE UP! Wellness is something you have to work on all the time to maintain and improve...some things will get better quickly, others will be slow (take years) to happen. But it IS WORTH IT!

Currently I have the goal to run the mile and a half in fifteen minutes. Anyway, the efforts of the author of the blog I posted a link to is a huge motivation for me to keep running (I don't like running, I like variety and for me, running is not my favorite exercise niche) and improve my time and character.

what's new...

So, I'm not doing school with ISU online anymore. For details, read my lil expose about it. Basically I was never informed fully by ISU as to all the costs of the program and that's just not kosher. I feel justified in my reasons for never wanting to attend school there and relieved that I was able to nip my connection to them in the bud!

After much stress and uncertainty, through the Lord's tender mercies, taking classes at BYU-I for Fall has worked out. My schedule is full of classes and studying and as much sleep as I can get!

Currently I am down for the count because I caught strep throat from one of Clint's friends. For the first time this semester I missed my chemistry class completely and can't go to Lab tomorrow cuz I'll still be contagious. I opted for a shot in the bum rather than the pill form of the antibiotic for 10 days--I've got enough to remember without adding a pill every 4-6 hours.

Unfortunately, this means I got nothing accomplished for school today. Fortunately, this means I slept most of the day and watched one of my favorite movies ever (Marley and Me)! Clint's working nights at Fed-Ex in addition to loading the trucks in the morning and Q&A. I do not like being alone much even when I'm not sick...I slept while Clint was gone tonight, but I missed him the whole time.

I am super excited to announce that I have another new niece! My sister Andrea had her sixth baby girl two days ago. My nieces were sad that they couldn't visit their new baby sister in the hospital because of the H1N1 precautions, but in my book, absence makes the heart grow fonder--so when this little one gets to go home (hopefully with a name--they didn't know beforehand whether they were getting another little girl or their first boy; plus they moved in the middle of the pregnancy and hardly had couples time, so I don't think they thought about names a lot), anyway, when she gets home I'm sure she will be fawned over plenty!

It's my goal to start blogging shorter posts and to do so more often. It's sure easier to do in lil bits than have people wondering if we're alive and I no longer have gobs of time to blog. I also have not yet figured out an incentive or motivation to get Clint to write...any ideas?

Thanks for reading and if you don't have time to comment, please click your reaction to my posts (interesting, cool, funny) cuz it makes me feel good; plus I'd like to know I'm not boring you to sleep...that would just undermine the purpose of this blog.

Loves, hugs, and best wishes!
(Sorry, no kisses...only Clint gets those when I'm sick...although they are more limited in supply than when I'm healthy and I get more kisses from him on the forehead--which are so sweet anyway, but I love that when I'm sick they also make me feel better :)
