I was going to post pictures from our Podunk Christmas but I lost our camera and so now some thief has either deleted them all or some one smashed it in a parking lot.  Super sad day!

Save Your Pulltabs!

I began my Medical Assisting Minor this year and part of the class is doing service.  What we're doing is collecting pull tabs for the Ronald McDonald House Charity from soup cans, pet food cans, soda cans, any kind of can!  Because they are a charity they can get top dollar for them-awesome!

We've only got a half gallon so far.  The deadline to get pull tabs to me is March 19th by 11:15 am!  So those of you who are out of state, put them in the mail so that they'll arrive by the 18th---unless you want to overnight them.

Bring pull tabs to me on-campus, at my house or mail them!  I am in the Clarke building from 9 am-5 pm Monday through Friday.  
I'm also willing to come pick them up in the evening or on weekends.  Those of you helping out, please leave a comment (blog or facebook) or shoot me an email or text please.

Irish Joke

I found this Irish Joke...if you like it, maybe I'll start posting one every week...at least once a month.

Barty was trapped in a bog and seemed a goner when Big Mick O'Reilly wandered by. 

"Help!" Barty shouted, "Oi'm sinkin'!" 

Don't worry," assured Mick. "Next to the Strong Muldoon, Oi'm the strongest man in Erin, and Oi'll pull ye right out o' there." 

Mick leaned out and grabbed Barty's hand and pulled and pulled to no avail. 

After two more unsuccessful attempts, Mick said to Barty, "Shure, an' Oi can't do it. The Strong Muldoon could do it alone, mebbe, but Oi'll have to get some help." 

As Mick was leaving, Barty called "Mick! Mick! 

D'ye think it will help if Oi pull me feet out of the stirrups?

Lil Tidbit

Well, I still need to post about Christmas...but thought you might like to know a quick bit about current events for us since we just finished our first week of the new semester in this new year.
Clint and I are both enjoying our classes and staying on top of our assignments quite well.  This semester is drastically different from last in that it has been far simpler to manage and better planned.  We have class during mostly the same time block so we can study and complete coursework before coming home and then have the evenings together to relax and take care of the house, etc.
We are enjoying some 'new' furniture and may possibly have a new addition to our family in the next couple days...we'll let you know.
I am also feeling a lot better healthwise despite having a sorethroat/cold/sinus infection...whatever it was I am almost better more quickly than I expected.  However, if you remember, please keep us in your prayers...still not sure why I have been sick so much.  We may know soon.
