A Moment to Breathe

Whew!

So, I am working in Rigby, ID (I commute a total of about an hour everyday) as an assistant at a fencing company.  They supply the posts, poles, wires, etc. for people needing to build fence on their ranch/farm or for horse corrals.  We even work with the government--mostly forest service.   I am working Monday-Saturday (except today!  my boss' daughter got married this morning and so she gave me the day off) anywhere from 7-10 hours a day.

Clint is taking 12 credits of hard-core CIT classes and working Tuesdays/Thursdays w/an occasional Saturday or evening thrown in.

By the time I get home from work and shower and get something to eat, it is usually 9 o'clock or later!  I loaded the dishwasher for the first time in over a month last night.  I ran it through the cycle today and I've still got to run at least 2 more before all the dishes are done.  Needless to say---we will be switching from using most of our dishes to disposable ones as much as possible.  The sight of putrid smelling dishes piling up is not okay, esp for me as a germaphobe.  Not exactly sanitary or healthy either.

Clint doesn't like paper disposables but I'm hoping that he'll tolerate them because a)we can put them in our garden for compost which = taking out the trash less.

Unless something super important comes up that my boss needs me for, i get the 30th of May - June 4th off as well!  My plan: deep clean my house like mad and then go to Twin Falls w/Clint for his best friend's wedding on the 3rd.  I've got a groupon to use for gelato--there used to be a gelateria in town but they closed after business slowed down way too much in the cold months.  I am so excited for this tiny vacation!

Baby Blue-I Love You!

If you're still baffled by a recent post...'clue'...

Dreams come true--this one sooner than I thought it would!

I honestly don't remember when I first saw one but it was love at first sight...

In high school, my dad retired and got back into his childhood hobby of model making.  Planes and tanks filled our living room--the makings of WWIII was what met visitors upon entrance of the house.
One afternoon I asked my dad if they had a kit for a special car.  I thought, "Maybe I can buy the kit and have my dad help me put it together.  Or maybe he'll buy it for me--best shot I have at my dad ever buying me a car.  It won't be life size, and it won't be mine, but I'll be able to admire it till I move out someday..."

Another afternoon, I discovered my dad had ordered the kit and the thrill of peeking in the room to watch it's progress put a thrill in my smile.

2005, move out I did.  I'm still in school and the journey is crazy but blessings and granted wishes have silver-lined my cloudy days!

My dad bought another model kit and when it was finished, it sat by the first on the entertainment center below fighter jets and their missile artillery.  He had also purchased and finished kits for muscle cars that sat atop the center by my favorite models of them all.

Our first Christmas together, Clint and I went down to visit my family for a day and at some point I was staring at the coveted miniature.  I said something about having my dad leave it to me in his will.  He was busy reading or something and my sister got his attention and repeated whatever it is that I said.  Before we left, my dad gave me the first model he assembled of my dream!  It has since lost some decals and had a tire fall off, but it sits in my living room on one of Clint's dreams--his 7.1 surround sound speaker system.

I need to pick up the speed with the story and get to the goodness.  As you may recall, over the last year I've blogged about the stress of school and life and needing money and whatnot.  Well, last week Clint came home with news that he'd done a consultation with a work client who needed an assistant.  I called and learned that this woman "could've used me yesterday!"  We'd been looking for a second car already to simplify transportation when Clint started school again so I could job hunt as far as Idaho Falls as necessary so after that phone call we intensified our efforts.

After pulling an all-nighter just for fun I took a nap and that afternoon we jaunted down to Pocatello.  This was the second time that we drove my dream car--specifically Clint's second time...my FIRST time!!!  I only drove it 3-5 blocks but it was awesome!  You see, I learned how to drive a manual five years ago, but I never mastered it as second nature intuition.  So, I was ECSTATIC!  Sunday we timed out from life and Monday I worked on the particulars while Clint was at work so we could BUY my baby that night!  Delays arose along with the suspenseful tension but sure enough, Tuesday was my lucky day!  With all the paperwork signed we went back to Pocatello and signed some more paperwork and now my baby is mine!  I caressed the beautiful gleaming cloud white top--so happy that it is tangible and not at all like a cloud aside from color!

Without further adieu, I proudly present with giggly excitement...my dream car!

Not too snug/too tight of a squeeze--just right!

 Isn't she beautiful?!?

 Vroom vroom!

The name is still to be determined...please leave suggestions in the comments!

“In our hour of deepest sorrow, we can receive profound peace from the words of the angel that first Easter morning: ‘He is not here: for he is risen.’ ...
“As one of His special witnesses on earth today, this glorious Easter Sunday, I declare that this is true, in His sacred name—even the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior—amen.”
—President Thomas S. Monson

clue

Chocolate Eggs and Bunny Rabbits

I don't have the strongest testimony right now but I know in my heart that He died for me and atoned for me to redeem me though I stumble in learning His ways.  And so, I share with you His love and hope that as I repost the recaps of Mormon.org of the week before Christ's resurrection that they've been posting on facebook, that you feel that love and that you will be touched by the meaningful events surrounding Easter-time.
On Saturday, in preparation for Passover only six days away, many people visited Jerusalem to offer sacrifices at the temple. Jesus walked to Bethany, a nearby village, and stayed five nights with his friends Lazarus, Mary, and Martha. It was during this time Mary anointed Jesus’s feet with oil. John 12:1-3

On Sunday, Jesus rode into Jerusalem from Bethany on a donkey. People recognized Him as their King shouting, “Hosanna,” and laying palm leaves in front of the donkey to keep dust off the Savior. He visited the temple and then returned to Bethany.
Day 6: After finding people buying and selling things in the temple, Jesus questioned, “Is it not written, My house shall be called... the house of prayer?” After making the merchants leave he blessed and healed many including the lame and the blind. Jealous priests were angry and plotted to destroy Him.
Day 5: Jesus taught people in the temple and on the Mount of Olives. One of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, agreed to turn Jesus over to the priests in exchange for 30 silver coins.
Day 4: Although the scriptures don’t say what Jesus did on this day, we can imagine He spent the day with His disciples, perhaps telling the parable of the ten virgins.  See Matthew 25:1-13.
Day 3: Passover started and Jesus told His disciples that one of them would betray Him. He then introduced the sacrament to them. Jesus went to the Garden of Gethsemane to suffer for our sins and pray mightily to God. Angry priests and townspeople came to arrest Him. The disciples fled in fear.
Day 2: Jesus was taken to the high priest, Caiaphas. His disciple Peter denied he knew Him. Jesus was then questioned by the governor, Pilate, and by King Herod. He was condemned to die on the cross. Jesus was crucified. A rich man named Joseph of Arimathæa laid Jesus in his tomb. Jesus’s mother, Mary, and Mary Magdalene visited the tomb.

Day 1: Jesus’s body lay in the tomb. A large stone was put in front of the door. The wicked priests asked Pilate to have guards stand outside the tomb to make sure no one went inside.
